GNU/Linux

The proper term for what we call Linux is "GNU with Linux" or "GNU plus Linux" and commonly written as "GNU/Linux". It may be referred to as Linux here for simplicity but we should be aware and thankful for the GNU Project.

Site Purpose

This site was made to solve several problems with documenting my references and solutions for GNU/Linux.

• Deciding to update one large file or many smaller files
• Deciding which machine to host the files on
• Constantly 'adding' the host to my other machines
• Having access to the host from any machine
• Deciding on a format [half spreadsheets and half documents]
• Backing up the files

This site solves the hosting issues, forces a format, and is backed up by "Always Online" and submission to the Wayback Machine.

Hopefully this information can help other people using GNU/Linux.
